Thank you for purchasing a Silver Mesa
Terrarium, you are now the owner of your very
own ecosystem. In order to keep your Terrarium
happy, you will need to follow a few basic
rules.
Since Terrariums do not have a drainage hole it
is important to not over-water. The
deeper the glass vessel and the smaller the
opening the longer it can go between watering.
When it is time to water use distilled or
purified water to keep the glass clean and spot
free. Give it enough water to saturate the soil
completely. No standing water in the lower layer
of rock. If your Terrarium is going to be
outside on a covered patio
out of direct sun it will dry out faster
than if you have it inside in a bright location.
Be sure if you have it indoors it is getting
bright indirect
light for at least 4 hours a day preferably 6.
You will see your plants putting their roots
down to reach the rock, this is a good sign that
they are adapting to their environment.
We plant our Terrariums with easy care, yet very unique succulents
to give you long lasting enjoyment. We use both
fast growing and slower growing succulents. Most
of the fast growing types can be trimmed, which
will encourage the plant to put out new multiple
heads or shoots. It is easy to tell the
difference between the two types as the faster
growing varieties have a fleshier softer stalk.
We use unusual succulents to make our Terrariums
unique. We also do this to make them interesting
along side our diverse collection of seashells.
When you purchase a Silver Mesa Terrarium you are getting a
mindful, creatively designed American made
product. We are here to answer any questions you
may have. We have been quality growers of cacti
and succulents since 1976, please don't hesitate
